Spring is here! We have thousands of plants growing in preparation for our annual plant sales. We will be at the Marietta Square Farmers Market every Saturday this Spring. The Dwarf Tomato Project was featured in the Jan. issue of the American Gardener Magazine. Congratulations to all of the folks that have been involved! I will have some seedlings of these plants available for sale along with all of our other plants. Check the Variety Listing Page to see everything available. Here are is a picture of a nice variety mix.
The first sets of heirloom tomato and pepper plants are growing and will be available on Saturday April 11th at the Marietta Square Farmers Market. Look for the Yoder Family Farm stand.
The first trays of pepper and tomato plants are seeded. The Superhot peppers are started first because they take the longest time to germinate and grow. Some of the varieties that will be available are Chocolate Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Chile), Trinidad Scorpian (several colors), Butch-T Strain, Jamaican Chocolate Habanero, Scotch Bonnet. I will also have a few varieties of "seasoning peppers", which are habaneros with no heat. You can find a listing of all varieties of heirloom tomato an pepper plants on the Plant Variety Listing Page.
